What are GFRC architectural decoration products?
GFRC stands for Glass-fiber Reinforced Cement (Concrete). It is a combination of anti-alkali glass fiber and low-alkali cement materials. With the use of low and anti alkali ingredients, products made from this material are very durable, with a lifespan of 50 to 100 years. The use of a fine denier Glass Fiber gives GFRC good plasticity, and allows products made from GFRC to be lightweight but strong, even with a small material thickness. GFRC is extremely easy to mold, and products of many styles and patterns can be produced.
GFRC Material Properties
(1) Lightweight -- Unit weight of GFRC material is 1.8-2.0 kg/m³. It is five times stronger than reinforced concrete, therefore products made from GFRC can be hollow, which drastically reduces the overall weight.
(2) High strength -- With the addition of glass fiber, the bending strength of the concrete mortar increases from 2-7MPa to 6-30MPa. The use of hollow curving surfaces also increases the bending strength.
(3) Good Anti-Shock Durability -- The tensile strength of the long glass fibers running through the concrete significantly increases the ability for the material to dissipate shocks. Test results in domestic use show that concrete has an anti-shock strength ranging from 1 to 2 kg-CM/cm². GFRC anti-shock strengths are much higher, at 5 to 15 kg-CM/cm².
(4) Crack-resistant -- The large fine denier mesh of our Glass Fiber creates a reinforced network which reduces stresses throughout the material. This greatly enhances the amount of wear and tear the products can withstand, and prevents the appearance of cracks in the concrete.
(5) Resistance to the Elements -- GFRC materials are water, fire, freezing aging resistant. They can be finely processed and have a good plasticity.
Design and Installation
The ability to form GFRC materials is nearly unlimited. Our products follow the best architectural designs, and can be used to produce a broad range of styles and effects. Our products can make your building appear grand and imposing, simple and elegant, fresh and natural, or quiet and understated. For architectural projects, we will produce design elements that are carefully measured to match the building's specifications.
In addition, we provide a detailed set of instructions to aid installation. Our architectural elements have built-in fitting slip joints, and fixed parts are coated with zinc-plating or use stainless steel. Our large elements also have specially designed safety hooks.
